Utilização da fibrina rica em plaquetas e leucócitos (L-PRF) em cirurgia de levantamento de seio maxilar

Abstract

This work aims to promote a review of the concept of literature, physiology and standard protocol leukocyte and platelet-rich fibrin (L-PRF), as well as its clinical application in maxillary sinus lifting surgery of the side access techniques (Cadwel -Lucc) and atraumatic removal with Summers osteotomes. L-PRF is a biomaterial used for autologous healing by incorporating into a fibrin matrix, leukocytes, platelets and growth factors harvested from a simple blood sample. It was developed by Choukroun. The efficiency of autologous material lies in localized and continuous release of a wide range of growth factors, accelerating the tissue repair process. Studies have shown that the use of this material in maxillary sinus lift surgery was presented as an easy method and successful to accelerate and guide bone regeneration, and function as great barrier to the sinus membrane protection.
